Professional Development Opportunities in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis

Many educational institutions - in CT, the surrounding region and online - offer academic programs in applied behavior analysis. The website www.appliedbehavioranalysisedu.org compiles state by state listings of such programs. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) provides information about accreditation and professional standards.

USJ's offers a number of options for future Behavior Analysts, with plans to fit many different career paths. These include a Graduate Certificate program and a Master of Science program in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. These programs can be completed either full- or part-time. USJ sometimes sponsors free public lectures on autism treatment topics so check their website.

State Universities
Some of Connecticut’s regional State Universities offer professional training opportunities in Applied Behavior Analysis, including Western CT State University (WCSU) in Danbury; Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) in Willimantic; and Southern CT State University (SCSU) in New Haven.
