Connecticut’s State Education Resource Center (SERC) holds
“professional development” workshops every school year, some of which
are of interest to parents as well. The 2009-2010 presentations
pertaining to autism are over but the workshops for the 2010-2011 school
year soon will be posted at SERC’s web site (www.ctserc.org). SERC
doesn’t organize the listings by topic so you’ll need to scroll through
all of them to find workshops pertaining to autism or other topics of
possible interest. Pre-registration is required. SERC offers free
scholarships to parents so you can ask them to waive the fee.
